*** Preparation for the Sacraments ***

 (First Penance):

The preparation takes place during the regularly scheduled religious education classes, and
the program is designed for all public, private, and Catholic school students. It is most helpful
that parents participate in the decision of whether their children are able to understand right
from wrong and that sin is a deliberate action against God’s love.

 (First Holy Communion):
The immediate preparation for First Holy Communion takes place during the regularly
scheduled religious education classes, and the program is designed for all public, private and
Catholic school students.

Candidates not baptized at Christ the King must submit copies of their baptism certificate.

Attendance is expected at all classes since they are not regular.
The date and other information regarding a special retreat for all candidates will be
announced at the September Parents-Candidates meeting.

Candidates not baptized at Christ the King must submit copies of their baptism  certificate.

The date for the celebration of Confirmation is not known to us.  The Bishop’s Office
schedules the spring dates in the late (previous) fall.  Those parishes which have 20
candidates or more are permitted a special celebration at the parish church.  All others
receive Confirmation at St. Paul’s Cathedral in what is known as a Multi-Parish Confirmation.

If inclement weather occurs during the weekend and it is necessary to cancel classes, please
